Human creature is fundamentally a social animal, which cannot live alone. But in this jungle of technology where we feel proud of having thousands of social media friends, we all have at least one such friend who is connected to us beyond the social media boundaries. Beyond any gives and takes of materialistic expectations and even ‘Time’. It’s always good to meet people, to inspire others and to get inspired, and it’s even good to have a crowd around you at times. I believe in the transformative powers of friendships. Every single friendship has the power to change you in the subtle ways, but there are rare few friends who can really shape the course of our lives and influence and push us to grow towards betterment.

Today I am sharing my coffee with my one such friend.

We ordered our coffees, I opened my journal, fixed my camera and we started like that……

“Maham shut the stupid journal of yours and all this. Meet me when you are not writing anything.”

“But Aroosa this is our coffee meet up for my blog we need to talk about something and I need to write.”

“Do I really need to tell you anything upbeat and pleasing about me, in fact write something that I even myself don’t know.”

Ok then let’s glorify things (pun intended).

Only some friends are like fighting at the very first encounter and then sticking together for the rest of their lives. Amity means dragging positivity out and pushing each other forward. Thanks Aroosa for always making me dream big and never letting me settle down for less. It’s about giving honest advises, (if u r not going to take this injection Maham you will have to take thousands of injections when you’ll grow old..lol). It’s about running in the deserted street after midnight, after getting late from college parties and protecting each other. It’s about making the lists of prospective boyfriends and then suffering through each other’s break ups. It’s about getting matured together. True friends don’t need to be present all the time to make u happy; it’s the mere thought of them that can bring smile on your face. Sticking together tightly to your real friends means less chances of any depressive ailments. Right friends are like the perfect blend of milk in the coffee, and I am surly the blessed one.

“And Aroosa I learned from you how to apply eye shades.”
