She said: every single step that you take after any calamity is towards prosperity, betterment and happiness.

My sweet coffee companion today taught me a lot about life, struggles, delights, excitements and a lot more with the little twinkles in her eyes. A single accidental fall changed the entire course and purpose of her life altogether.

But then she said, ‘who needs legs when one has got wings.’  And she truly is flying like an eagle.

“The confinement of the single room, the shocks of waking up with the puddles of blood around my feet, the extraction of my foot nails and every single tear that I shed led me towards a stronger, better and grateful person.”

“A simple observation of a silk cotton tree taught me that if u cut one of its twigs it will grow four twigs from the same spot, cut another one it will grow another four.”

Thus my super cool friend taught me that “sometimes u just surrender and sometimes u fight it back with all your might like the very Mother Nature.” One can see the conquered world through her miniature paintings in which she portrays her medical conditions and treatments to the world with a bold stance. I could feel the happiness and innocence in her glittering scarf, in her dangling earrings, in her coal rimmed eyes, in the laughter we shared and even in the red color of her wheelchair.

Coffee is not a beverage…. It’s a moment of pleasure.
